He passed me a hot chocolate and smiled. “Hi,” he said.
I smiled back.
He sat down beside me.
I paused. “I feel miscalibrated,” I said. “I need to realign. I need to Purge and Cleanse.”
He nodded.
“Which means… I just leveled up,” I said.
I had an Impurity that needed Purging now.
But what is it?
“Let’s talk about your Fear of Being Seen,” Aion said.
I sighed. “Point.”

I was dizzy. My head was surging.

“Sleep,” he said.
I shook my head.
“No?” He asked.
“No,” I said. “Not… “No.” Just…” I shook my head again. “I’m too tired to think, explain, or Alchemize to Purify or Refine or Extract…”
“Sleep,” he said.
