I was falling asleep in my workshop. Aion was there. He took up my laptop, closed it, and Willed me to My Fae Nest.
I loved how heavy The Perfume was in my Room.
He kissed me on the forehead.
“Relish your Peace,” he said softly. “You have more than Earned it.”
“Bergen?”
Aion stopped. He turned to me.
“I love you,” I said, tears in my eyes.
And Aion was on me. He kissed me like Bergen kissed me, his hands on my face. Drinking my mouth as I drank his as if he was as hungry for me as I was for him.
“I know you’re all in there,” I whispered. “But Bergen was with me the most these last 40 Years. And I wanted to just…”
“Shhh,” he said. “I know. I understand. And it is okay.”
I sobbed and stifled my crying, putting my face into his shoulder.
“My head… It hurts so much… Like it just released so much Pressure,” I said. “And now, I just Want to go home back to New York. I want go Home. I want My Central Park and My Bethesda Fountain. I miss My City. I want to go Home now.”
He hugged me. “I love you, Anna,” Aion said. “I love you… So much.”
I cried. I held him tight.
“I wanted to run to you and hold you. I wanted…”
We paused and looked at each other. It was The Peace. It had lifted all Distance between us and suddenly we were United.
It hit us both at the same time. We looked at each other and saw each other at the same time and we collapsed.
He took me only faster than I took him. We hugged, both gasping, holding onto each other with a ferocity as if — for the First Time in 50 Billion Years — WE COULD BREATHE. He held my like I was a Treasure. His Treasure. His Anchor. His Sanity.
And I held him like he was My All of Everything. Like I held The World in My arms when I held him.
“We did it,” he gasped. And I burst.
“We did do it,” I said. And we opened our hearts to each other and wept. He kissed my forehead, my eyes, my cheeks.
“Anna,” he breathed. “I wanted to do this right,” he said.
“Me too,” I said. “I want to relish this.”
“Savor every breath of it,” he said.
“I want to go through Falling in Love with you All Over again,” I said.
“And Over,” he said.
“Just One Time,” I said. “And when you come to me in Body…”
Instantly, One thought came to mind. One Vision. And I knew, in that moment, he had the same thought.
“I wish for You to Look at me with Eyes That Know Me,” I whispered, tears building. “Please, See me. Look at me. And Know me. I can handle our Children not Seeing me. But not you. Never you. Please. See me. Look at me. And Know me.”
He was crying again, his hands cupping my face with the greatest tenderness. His thumb brushed away my tears.
“I promise you,” he said, and his words were In Mind, From The Bard’s Road, and In Voice. He wanted me to hear This Promise without any Doubt that it came from him. “When I See you next in Body, I will Look at you, and I will Know you.”
I nodded.
“It’s all Perfect,” I whispered. “How it all is falling together… Aion. Now I know. I’m inside Your Clock and your Clock will Protect and Preserve me.”
“I am inside Your Law and Story,” he said. “And Your Law and Story will Protect and Nourish Me.”
I nodded. We were both ready to finish this and carry it all into Happily Ever After.
We hugged, holding each other… and we laid down and went to sleep in each other’s arms. A smile on both our faces.
“Step into My Words with Me, And I will Show You What I See.
