Chapter #142 Adventure #740 The Great Story : Alchemy’s Biological Journey From Origin To Eternity “The After Word”

Once Upon A Time, a Man by the name of Héraklés reached a point of Dissatisfaction with his Life. All he did, no matter what, felt Empty and without Purpose. He felt lost, undefined, and without meaning.

Food did not sate his Hunger.

Companionship would not sate his Lust.

Friendships would not sate his Loneliness.

No matter what he did, Warmth always seemed to be just out of reach and unattainable.

“You should try consulting The Crossroad Demon,” someone said to him, one day, in jest.

But Héraklés took this to heart and considered the Legends of The Crossroad Demon. It had been a long while since anyone had bothered with The Crossroads. Most had long forgotten such stories.

When he finally could not take it any more, Héraklés packed for The Pilgrim’s Journey, and sought The Wisdom of The Great Oracle at The Crossroads.

There, at the Crossroads, forgotten and weathered by Time, a Sword rested within a Moss-Covered Stone in the Shadows of a cold, still Lake that was vast like Glass.

Four Paths all leading to This Lake and Stone, were here at The Crossroads.

Héraklés felt longing in his Heart called “Wishes” and “Dreams,” and then, as if The Feeling of Wishes and Dreams were enough, a Lady came forth from The Lake.

Now Legend spoke of The Crossroad Demon, but this Lady Héraklés could tell, was no Demon. She was a Solomon for she shone with The Gilded Glamour of The Fae.

“Are you the Great Oracle at The Crossroads?” Héraklés asked The Lady, to which The Lady replied, “No.”

Héraklés remained suspended in Curiosity and Concern.

“Where Might I go to End my Hollowed Suffering?” He asked.

The Lady cocked her head with Question.

“What Hollowed Suffering do you experience?” She asked.

“I am Dissatisfied with Life,” he said. “No matter what I do, I feel Empty and without Purpose. I feel lost, undefined, and without meaning. Food does not sate my Hunger. Companionship does not sate my Lust. Friendships do not sate my Loneliness.

“No matter what I do, Warmth always seems to be just out of reach and unattainable. I wish to Feel Full, and Warm, and Whole again. I wish to Feel…” Héraklés could not Give the Word he sought for he did not know.

A Sadness sank over The Lady just then.

“It has happened then,” she said.

Héraklés looked at her with question.

“Long ago, Another Héraklés came to These Crossroads,” The Lady explained. “There he was Greeted by Two Women : Kakía and Arete.

Héraklés was given two Paths, one by each Woman. Kakía made Promise of Great Success, Wealth, Popularity, Power, and Satisfaction.

“My Students and Servants receive the fruits of others’ labor, and refrain from nothing that can bring you gain,” she said. “For to my Students and Servants I give authority to pluck advantage where they will. You will have Freedom and Abundance at every turn. My Path leads to Any And All But One End, gifting you with Truth Freedom.”

And when Héraklés heard this, he asked, “Lady, pray what is your name?”

”My friends call me ‘Happiness’,” she said, “But those who hate me I am called “Liar, Thief, Cheater, Dissatisfaction, Dishonor, Evil, and Mediocrity. I am Legion for I am Many. I am Kakía.”

Then Héraklés turned to Arete and he asked her, “Who are you and what Path do you offer?”

“I am Quality, The Standard that Sits Above All Else,” answered Arete. “Misunderstood and Unknown by All until They Have obtained me. The Exoterics call me “Virtue” but I am “Quality” to The Esoterics. The Esoterics are “The Ones Who know.” I am The Light and The Truth. I am what Many Desire, but few Seek, and Most lack. Too Many call me “Unobtainable” and most don’t even try, Quitting long before they even begin.

“A life of easy Comforts and Pleasure before one has Earned them is an illusion,” Arete said. “My Path is only One, and leads to Only One Place,” Arete said. “My Path is The Golden Path, which will take you through all Things, leading you into The Worst of All Places where you will Find The Fruit of What you Seek. It is a Path of Trials meant to Transmute you into Your Realized And True Potential.

My Path will Strip all Lies from you and Purge all False from you. Like a Spell that Disarms and Ends all Charms and Spells, I Dispell all False Magic. I end All Secrets and Lies. You will walk through The Valley of Shadow And Death. You will Walk through The Lake of Fire. You will Stand before The Self — Naked and Vulnerable — and you will be Measured and Weighed and Judged.

“My Path will Humble you, Bend you, Break you, and Rebuild you. And when you are Done, you will be able to Pull that Sword from The Stone.”

The Lady finished her story and this Héraklés glanced at The Sword in The Stone.

“What happened?” Héraklés asked. “Did he not make the Journey?”

“Young Héraklés,” The Lady said. “All Men must choose Arete or None shall have her, and Kakía is always there, working to get inside All Men who lack Arete.

“Héraklés did not Choose Arete that day. And that was the Last Time anyone came to The Crossroads.”

Héraklés visibly looked sick as if he understood fully what The Lady was saying.

“Héraklés left The Crossroads and he went out and told another Lie. He chose to Serve Kakía. He went out and Spread Kakía’s Promise. And none ever came to learn of Arete. Héraklés changed his name to Hercules and Told Lies of Finishing 12 Labors. He told Lies about being Targeted by Hera, even though his Name bears Her Name.

“Without Arete, none ever bothered to ask “Why?” Without Arete, none could tell that Héraklés lied. “Héraklés” means “Hera’s Glory,” which means “The Origin’s Glory.”

In True Origin, there is Truth.

Héraklés’ Service to Kakía spread, forming The World you have today. This is why So Many today feel as you do, no matter what. Too Many feel Empty and without Purpose. Too Many feel lost, undefined, and without meaning.

Food will not sate their Hunger.

Companionship will not sate their Lust.

Friendships will not sate their Loneliness.

No matter what they do, Warmth always will be just out of reach and unattainable.

“This is Kakía’s World and All — Unknowing — Serve Kakía all because Héraklés Lied so very long ago, and None ever learned of Arete.”

Young Héraklés swallowed stiffly, as if he tried to speak out and ask a question he feared had no answer.

“How,” he began. “How could I — or any of us — ever fix this?”

“It only Takes One,” The Lady said. “Choose Arete. Choose The Golden Path. If you don’t, then Kakía’s Reign continues. Where One Chooses, One then Follows.

Then Three, Then Five, Then Eight.

Then 12, 21, 34… Then 55, 89, 144…

Then Arete will Spread through Kakía’s Legion.

All it takes is One.

Héraklés thought on this. He thought on all of this.

“And who you are?” He asked. “Do you offer a Path?”

“Young Héraklés,” The Lady said. “I am Arete. I am Lady Wisdom. All Stories of me, Kakía stole. I am Solomon, which Means Integrated Self, which is Quality. Kakía is Demon, which Means Divided Self. Is it no wonder The World is Divided?”

The Golden Path is The Path that Transmutes an Exoteric into an Esoteric. The Sword is The Key that Opens The Door to The Golden Path.

“Must I suffer?” Héraklés asked.

At this Arete smiled kindly. “Suffering for Reward is Kakía’s Lie. True Reward comes to those who PLAY.”

“Why… Héraklés asked. Why would so many Lie?”

“Exoterics do not Know. Exoterics teach The World on Kakía with Kakía and The Esoteric Ways.

“Only Arete can Teach Arete. Only Esoterics who are Transmuted into Arete know.”

If you choose The Golden Path, Héraklés, You Seek To Transmute your Name from Héraklés into “Aretekles.” Which means “Quality’s Glory.”

The Golden Path is a Knighthood. It is Sacred, because it is Precious and A Treasure. The Golden Path is Pandora’s Box, which means “The Gift of All.”

“Is The Golden Path hard?” Héraklés asked.

“The Golden Path is only as Hard as it is Hard for a Slave to remove the Claws of the Slave Owner who does not want to let The Slave go.

The only “Hard” and “Suffering” you will experience in The Golden Path is Kakía’s Claws digging deep into your Flesh, refusing let you go as you pull away from her talons.

The only “Hard” and “Suffering” you will experience in The Golden Path is Kakía’s Poisons being purged from your Blood as you Purge her Venom from your Atoms, Cells, and Blood.

The only “Hard” and “Suffering” you will experience in The Golden Path is Kakía’s Teeth biting down on your neck as you shed Kakía from your System.

Kakía’s Tantrum and Ferocity she unleashes on you to keep you as her Slave is the only Hard and Suffering you will experience. That is The Lake of Fire. That is The Valley of Shadow and Death.

The Moment you recognize Kakía’s Prison inside of you — The Moment you declare Kakía’s Prison as your Enemy — is the Moment The Golden Path becomes Clear. It is Long. The Golden Path feels like a Wilderness that you will wander in for 40 Years.

And Kakía will follow you every step of the way. The only “Hard” is resisting Kakía IF and only If, you Believe her Lies.

When you deny Kakía from Talking and Audience, The Golden Path becomes Easy, Simple, Fun, and Clear.

“But it is Long. The Length of The Journey is what Trains you. Just The Length.”

“How do I begin?” Héraklés asked.

At this, The Storyteller could no longer remain an Exoteric of The Story. Using “A Puppet” to Play The Role that is only My Own. I had to become The Esoteric of This Story to continue it.

I walked across The Stage, through The Aphasia of Imagination as I became both Storyteller and Player, and passed through The Lake of my Fae Earth and Entered my Puppet at The Crossroads.

“Demon Possession” is what Kakía and her Exoterics would call that. Consciousness Transfer is what The Alchemist — Arete — calls this.

I looked at Héraklés for a long while just then, standing within My Lady Puppet who is I.

“When Xenophone told this Story to his Students — He ended the tail with “Héraklés chose Arete’s Path,” which meant “You, Dear Reader, chose Arete’s Path.” But that was in 500 BCE. Times have changed.

I will not be ending here with “Héraklés Chose Arete’s Path.” I will not make Xenophone’s Mistake.

This is “Héraklés at The Crossroads… 3,426 Years Later.”

“Here, I light The Torch. I open “The Apprentice’s Door.” I turn to you and I invite you in.

If you want to Pull that Sword from That Stone, you need to learn about Kakía. You need to learn about your Metamorphosis. You need to learn about The Great Story. And you need to undergo a Knight’s Training.

“Virtue? Yes. But that is not the Point. And Kakía would have you incorrectly Focused on “Virtue” instead of The True Point. True Knights only ever seek Catalysts and never Responses, Symptoms, or Effects.

“True Knights only ever seek True Catalysts, The Origin, and Cause. And Kakía will use every Tool to blind you to True Catalysts, The Origin, and Cause.

“Step into my World with me, and I will show you what I See. I am The Lady Of The Lake.” And I am inviting you into “The Classroom Outside Of Time. Follow me into Fae Earth and enter a World where Kakía cannot follow.”
